My name is Linda Skelton and I have been a Shiatsu therapist about twenty years. Following my Shiatsu training I became interested in Jin Shin Jyutsu, and began my study of this energy healing form in 2005, when I was able to leave my ‘day’ job. In 2008 I became interested in the work of Lone Sorensen, who does marvellous work with Temprana Therapy helping children with brain conditions, and who has set up a foundation for the indigenous people of South America. At the heart of her treatment is Facial Reflexology, which uses a mix of techniques from acupressure to massage of specific areas of the face. She also teaches Japanese Cosmo Facelift and it was with Lone that I learnt this natural facelift technique. Whilst at a pamper evening I noticed a therapist using basalt stones and thought it looked marvellous to receive and do. In 2009 I commenced my training with LaStone® who use not only hot, but also cold stones in their stone therapy - drawing inspiration from the healing techniques of the North American Indian traditions. Due to my own health issues I learnt Hopi Ear Candling and now know the benefits of this truly simple treatment. Lastly, I have learnt to do Swedish and Indian Head Massage to complete my training to date. There is much more that I am interested in as the human body is a fascinating subject. With all my treatments please do not have a heavy meal or drink alcohol prior to receiving treatment, and try to drink as much water and rest as far as practicable following treatment.
